The Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to empower the National Selection Committee by giving it more powers. According to the sources, Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi wants to see the selection committee empowered, he will not interfere in any matter of the selection committee.
Sources said that the selection committee will now be given the authority regarding the captaincy, whichever department is empowered including the selection committee will also be responsible. The decision of the chief selector along with other selectors will be made within a week, it has been decided to appoint the coaches of the national cricket team as soon as possible.
Sources say that PCB has set a target of one week for the final decision of the coaches, PCB is still hopeful of appointing foreign coaches.
