The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCP) has awarded a prize money of Rs 14 crore to Islamabad United who won the ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). According to PCB’s announcement, Multan Sultans, who finished second, took home Rs 5.6 million as prize money.
During the finals of the PSL yesterday, Islamabad United had a tough match between Multan Sultans at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi. Playing first, Sultans set a target of 160 runs to the rival team, which United not only won by 2 wickets but also became champions of PSL for the third time by getting it on the last ball for the loss of only 8 wickets.
The team of Islamabad United not only won the championship of PSL, but also won the silver trophy of PSL and the prize money of 14 crore rupees.
Along with this, the best player of the tournament (Shadab Khan) and the best player of the finals (Imad Wasim) will get Rs. , 35 lakh rupees, the best all-rounder (Saim Ayub), fielder (Muhammad Irfan Khan) and umpire (Aasif Yaqub) were also awarded with a prize of 35, 35 lakh rupees.
It will also give a prize money of Rs 35 lakh to the cricketers who won the Yamerjung Player (Muhammad Irfan Khan) and Spirit of Cricket (Peshawar Zalmi) awards.
