The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was thinking about hosting the PSL 10 playoffs and the final match in a different country. They had looked at England as a top choice.
Franchise owners, worried about expenses, learned that an official would go to England to check things out. But, sources say England has said no to hosting the matches. They mentioned their grounds just aren’t available.
Now, some PCB officials are looking at the UAE as another option. Yet, the blazing heat in May could make playing there really tough.
PSL 10 is set for April 10 to May 25. This time overlaps with the Indian Premier League (IPL). Because of this, franchises are anxious that important foreign players might pick the IPL instead of the PSL.
On top of that, franchises had already contacted the PCB about profit shares from last season and other matters. Yet, they haven’t heard back. A high-ranking official recently promised owners during a call that a meeting would happen soon to discuss their worries.
